Digital It Girls
February 15, 2016
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Founder, Anastasia Soare, and Claire Soare, President
  • Bridget Dolan, Vice President, Sephora Innovation Lab
Great speakers at this year’s WWD Digital Beauty Forum. Sephora’s Bridget Dolan, entertained and impressed the entire audience with Sephora’s outstanding digital innovation. They are years ahead of their competitors.

The breakout star of the day was definitely Claudia Soare, President of Anastasia Beverly Hills, daughter of the company’s founder. She stood out in the crowd with her long grey hair, dressed all in black, including a black knit ski hat, as only a true beauty could.

An early adapter of Instagram, Claudia put the brand on the map with her on point-posts, beginning in 2012. She helped make it into a $100 million-plus business with more than 8 million followers. Admittedly, both she and her mother respond to their followers themselves. Some of her rules of engagement: don’t pay for followers (loyalists will know), acknowledge, listen and respond. She charmed the crowd admitting this was her first public speaking gig, and spilling her water, mid-speech.
